Youth Centre Villa Elba got in contact with the Youth in Free Intitiative organisation during a study visit to Kosovo in June 2013, organised by Finnish National Agency CIMO. During the study visit we decided to explore possibilities for future cooperation between our organisations, and we invited 2 representatives for the Albanian organisation for a job shadow program to Kokkola, Finland. The job shadowing took part from in February 2014. During this job shadow we created the idea of organising a study vist for Finnish and Albanian youth workers in Albania during autumn 2014. Youth Centre Villa Elba (FI) and Youth in Free Intitiative (AL) plan to organise a study visit in Albania 3-10.9.2014. The study visit will gather 6 youth workers from Finland and 6 youth workes from Albania. During the study visit we will get to know youth work realities in Albania and Finland and also exchange ideas and working methods. We will plan for possible future projects and exchange project ideas. As working methods we will use field visits, discussions, teamwork and presentations. The participants will gain new experiences and a possibility to deepen their personal and professional skills. They have a chance to discuss the challenges and good things about their work with people from similar backgrounds. The participants also have a chance to reflect their own work by getting to know other kind of realities. The participants can learn new skills, attituted and information that will help them to develop as professionals. We are expecting to develop long-term cooperation among Finnish and Albanian youth organisations, especially regarding youth exchanges, short-, and longterm EVS projects and training activities.
