TERMINÉ
The purpose of this project is to give students an opportunity to experience informal and practical acquisition of knowledge and skills. This experience offers students a chance to greater employability in the local and European labour market also thanks to ECVET which supports greater transparency and quality of practical trainings. This project includes 18 students studying Business Academy and Economic Lyceum. It is intended for students of the third year of study, since this is the year when students go through a practical training in various enterprises. Students, aged 17-18, will take part in a three-week professional training in the field of trade and business administration in the surroundings of London, Great Britain. There they will be placed in local shops and enterprises in spring 2017. Students will get an opportunity to go abroad and employ their knowledge in an authentic setting. The main aims of this projects are acquisition of business knowledge, applying of theoretical knowledge into practice, getting acquainted with real business communication and negotiations, comparing foreign and local trade and services, practising and improving their English language and English business correspondence, getting acquainted with culture and habits of an English-speaking country. The implementation of the project will be managed by the school as a sending organization and ADC College as an intermediary organization. The sending organization will organize selection of participants, their language and professional training, transport to the work place and monitoring of the project and internship, final evaluation and dissemination of results. The intermediary organization will ensure work placement of students, accommodation with host families, including food and transportation to/ from the place of internship, insurance, monitoring and evaluation. Apart from an official evaluation, students will participate in the presentation of their experience and results in their practical training at our school (or even on a regional level). After completing their training, students are expected to make two presentations. One focused on trade and business administration, in which they will include their expectations compared to gained experience, they will compare means of trading in a foreign country and the Czech Republic. The other presentation will concern language points, such as business communication, acquisition of new English vocabulary, and cultural points. They will present these outcomes in classes and discussions to inform and motivate other students. The school accompanying person will evaluate the training from his/ her perspective and will present it to school management and public at special occasions such as inspections, open house days etc. The project and its realization will be published on school web pages, or in local press and media.
