Ziel des Sonntag-Club e.V. ist es, durch die Aufnahme internationaler Freiwilliger, auf europäischer Ebene den Aufbau von gesellschaftlicher Akzeptanz und Gleichstellung von lesbischen, schwulen, bisexuellen, intergeschlechtlichen und transgender Bürger_innen sowie Empowerment von LGBTQIA Menschen und deren Angehörige zu fördern. Dadurch wird der soziokulturelle Austausch erweitert und zu einer Vernetzung der LGBTQIA-Community auf europäischer Ebene beigetragen. Der Sonntags-Club e.V. hat eine EFD-Stelle. Der /die Freiwillige wird während des 12 monatigen EFD einen Einblick in die tägliche Arbeit des Trägers in folgenden Bereichen erhalten: wöchentlich etwa 20 Gruppentreffen, administrative Aufgaben, Beratung zu allen Fragen und Problemen des queeren Lebens und Netzwerkarbeit. Durch Besuche anderer LGBTQIA-Projekte erhält der/die Freiwillige die Gelegenheit, einen Überblick über die queere Projektlandschaft Berlins zu bekommen.Die individuelle Ausgestaltung des Freiwilligendienstes baut auf eigene Ideen der Teilnehmenden. Abhängig von den Interessen und Fähigkeiten ist die begleitete Entwicklung und Umsetzung eines eigenen Projekts angedacht. Durch die Einbettung in die queere Community und das Kennenlernen der Vielfalt innerhalb der Gruppen, Aktivitäten und der Öffentlichkeitsarbeit des Sonntags-Club e.V. soll sowohl eine Stärkung der eigenen Persönlichkeit und des Selbstwertgefühls der Freiwilligen erfolgen als auch ein Verständnis für die Vielfalt innerhalb der LGBTQIA-Gemeinschaft aufgebaut werden. ENGLISH SUMMARY: The aim of the Sonntag-Club e. V. is to improve social acceptance and equality of gay, lesbian, bisexual, inter - and transgender people on European level, as well as the empowerment of LGBTQIA people and there relatives to promote social emancipation. An important part of the work at Sonntags-Club e. V. is seen in exchange and communication of regional and national organisations. With the EVS the NGO wants to extend this radius of activities to an international level and put it in an European context. The aim of the EVS – project is to broaden the perspective within the organisation by hosting volunteers, offering an inside view in the work within the LGBT community in Berlin and to support them by building synergies with international partners. The Sonntags-Club e. V. has one EVS place. The volunteer is offered to gain an inside view in the daily work of the NGO, which include areas like roughly 20 group meetings, administration, counselling to all questions surrounding LGBTQIA life and Problems and educational and cultural events. Through visiting other LGBTQIA NGOs gets the volunteer the possibility to gain an overview of Berlin's queer NGO scene. The individual structuring of the EVS depends strongly on the own ideas of the participant. It is intended to carry out a guided development and realisation of an own project, deepening on interests and abilities of the volunteer.By embedding the participant into the queer Community, the process of getting to know the plurality within the groups, activities and public relations work of the Sonntags-Club e.V. a reinforcement of personality is achieved. This leads to a strengthening of the mutual recognition within LGBTQIA-Communities.
