The overall objective of the SHESPSS is to strengthen higher education in the field of social policy making and social services delivery by developing new study programmes, improving existing study programmes, and establish effective links between academic programs and social and labour market needs. The specific objectives are: 1) Introduce new study programmes and courses in Social Policy making and Social work (B.A. & M.A. level), 2) Improve existing study programmes at Social Policy making and Social work (B.A., M.A. & Ph.D. level), 3) Diversify education in the field of social policy, social work and social pedagogy enabling graduates to work on variety of tasks and with variety of groups in need for social services, 4) Initiate and prepare material for the future national qualification standards and mutually adjusting national jobs classification and educational profiles of students in the field of social policy and social services provision.The SHESPSS id divided into 8 Work packages (WP): In order to qualify the curriculum reform at University of Nis, Belgrade and Novi Sad listed in WP2, the partnership will develop base line studies and mapping of the social and labour market needs, including mapping of existing study programmes and mobility paths for students between study programmes. Also in WP1 the partnership will suggest future models for possible introduction of Qualification Standards for jobs and education in Serbia within social service delivery (WP1). To strengthen the capability of Serbian Universities to teaching in new and existing curriculum, the project will also contain teacher training (WP3). When new study programmes are developed, the project will perform quality control and prepare for accreditation of study programmes (WP 5 & WP7). The partnership will also pilot the developed study programmes and courses (WP4) and disseminate project results (WP6). WP8 contains the management activities.
