The general / main school objectives will thus be achieved, namely to develop students’ motivation for personal and professional progress as well as for life- long-learning. As a result, the rate of early school dropout among our students will be reduced with at least 1%. Moreover, the social and cognitive abilities and competences required by employers will be polished up to facilitate a better insertion on national and international labour market. The aims for each of the 3 training courses in which will participate a batch of 5 teachers are:1. The teachers involved in "Make technology your friend!-using ICT to engage students in modern classroom" course will up skill their digital competences to be able to implement the new technologies and Web 2.0 instruments in the educational process at different school subjects to increase student motivation. During the course, the teachers will cover such modules as: Digital Instruments, Audio-Video, blogs, web sites, online questionnaires, digital methodologies to discover the potential of these instruments for the teaching process. 2. The following modules will be covered by the teachers: Types of communication, Methods of formal, non-formal and informal education. The short term results of the project are represented by the 15 newly trained teachers, perfected in using the new informational instruments, the non-formal education methods and mediation in class management. They will become resource-teachers for the rest of the teachers in the school and within the community. These 15 teachers will use improved didactic strategies by applying successful European practices in their teaching process and will apply new motivational resources to teach students in the digital era at different subjects, and also share them with their colleagues. The long term results of the project imply a better motivation of students for learning, as a consequence of turning the traditional class into a modern one, using didactic resources and digital instruments; lowering early school dropout rate and improving school attendance due to the introduction of non-formal methods in formal education. Furthermore, the increase of student motivation towards professional training and lifelong learning is targeted because of the use of group management techniques. Also, school’s European dimension will be broadened as a result of the increase in the number of teachers involved in European mobilities and who implement and apply successful strategies already used in European schools to increase student insertion rate on global labour market.
