Strategic cooperation for better entrepreneurship education

The project "Strategic cooperation for better entrepreneurship education" is a 12 months venture of two partners: The Centre for Sustainable Development “HORIZONS”from Poland and Hyperion University Foundation from Romania.The problem we would like to address in the project is lack of or insufficient entrepreneurship competences (skills and knowledge) among youth learners. One of the causes of the problem is the way of competence development, insufficient creative activities and not appropriate teaching methods as well as learning and teaching environments.A distinguishing feature of our contemporary societies is that they appears to be in constant process of transformation that affects all areas of our life. Succeeding in such a complex change process calls for better entrepreneurship competencies and it is related to creativity and innovative thinking. The world needs enterprising, resourceful, energetic, and bold individuals, who takes on imaginative projects, take initiative in order to be successful, can produce creative solutions for the challenges of the working life.Through the project we wish to contribute to a reduction in the number of entrepreneurship low-skilled youth.Goals within the project are:1) contributing to a reduction in the number of low-skilled youth by improving the level of key entrepreneurship competencies (knowledge and skills), with particular regard to their relevance for the labour market and their contribution to a cohesive society, in particular through increased opportunities for learning mobility and through strengthened cooperation between the world of education and training and the world of work;2) developing basic and transversal entrepreneurship skills by using innovative and learner-centred pedagogical approaches; delivering of curriculum/teaching programme, methods and models that have the aim to teach entrepreneurship in a creative fashion and developing appropriate assessment based on learning outcomes. 3) exchange of good practices regarding teaching entrepreneurship between partner countries by development of curriculum and conference 4) enhancing the quality of the entrepreneurship training and youth work by developing new and innovative approaches;5) dissemination of good practices developed indirectly during the project;6) reinforcing the links between entrepreneurship training of youth and world of work;7) promote entrepreneurship thinking, employability and new business creation (including sustainability entrepreneurship), supporting future learning and career paths for individuals in line with their personal and professional development; Project activities includes: 1) Intellectual Outputs: development of modern "Sustainability Entrepreneurship Teaching Program", development of Virtual entrepreneurship platform.2) Short-term training activities: 40 hours of physical and 20 hours of virtual training course on entrepreneurship according to the developed teaching programme (testing). Number of participants: 24. From each partner county: 12 participants. Profile of participants: young people, willing to up-skill their entrepreneurship, having a desire to start their own business (eg. unemployed).The methodology to be used in carrying out the project is Critical Chain Project Management (CCPM) and elements of PRINCE2 .Results:1) Sustainability Entrepreneurship Teaching Program and Virtual Entrepreneurship Laboratory (tested) 2) international conference proceedings 3) Evaluation report from testing of Sustainability Entrepreneurship Teaching Program4) increased competencies (skills and knowledge) among 24 youth learners;5) increased self-esteem of learners;6) increased ability of learners to adapt to changing conditions and perception of opportunities and their exploration;7) increased partners institutional capacityImpact envisaged and the potential longer term benefits:1) more creative undertakings and ventures2) more product/process/marketing/organizational innovations 3) developing a creative, intelligent regions4) Better understanding of other cultures and countries;5) Increased creativity and inventiveness, dynamism and pro-activity of learners Added value for the participants of the project will be additional skills learned indirectly during the project activities: Envisioning, Critical thinking and reflection,Systemic thinking, better multicultural dialogue and, learning to work together; better understanding of other cultures and countries; Increased creativity and inventiveness, dynamism and proactivity.
