In the project, groups of 30 participants from malopolska province would go to Frankfurt (Oder) and have 3 week of professional practice in the profession of a locksmith. The first step will be to prepare participants in linguistic and cultural way - it will start in 2014. Internships will take place during the school's winter (first and third group) and summer (second group) break in 2017/2018The overall objective of the project is to increase young people's professional skills in professional education by organizing a placement for them in a partners’ country (Germany). Another goal will be to develop their language and social / cultural skills by organizing the educational, linguistic and cultural preparation for the stay abroad. Participation in the project could increase the mobility of young people and give them opportunity to share experiences with people from other countries and use their knowledge and skills in a working environment. The project will also give the opportunity for employment in the european labor market. Participation in the project will contribute to the development of intercultural openness, will affect the ability to adapt to the conditions of life and work in another european country. The project is connected to tasks of Voluntary Labour Corps (OHP or VLC), which is primarily to prevent social exclusion of young people with learning disabilities, educational, or from dysfunctional families with low social status. By participating in VLC young people have the opportunity to return to the education system, school, start vocational training, find their place in personal and professional life. Opportunity to have vocational practice abroad is something they probably would not be able to achieve on their own, and the cultural and linguistic preparation, knowledge about another country and stay there will be a great value-added for these young people. We hope that participation in the project will help them increase self confidence, their abilities and skills, make them aware that education and learning about other cultures is very important. The effect of traineeship is preparing participants to work as a locksmith.
