In 2015, an English company, Training Vision organized a two-week training for a group of 16 3rd year hotel industry students, and in 2016 a two-week training for 2nd, 3rd and 4th year hotel industry workers. The aims of the projects, which were consistent with the aims of mobility projects, were to support learners in acquiring such competences as knowledge, skills and attitudes which improved their personal development and employability in the European labour market, let the students develop skills in foreign languages, knowledge and understanding of other cultures, develop a sense of European citizenship and identity and acquire the skills to adapt to living and working conditions in a foreign country. We paid particular attention to the extension and combination of knowledge and skills to contribute to the self-realization and personal development of our students. Innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship are the qualities that should characterize our students, and future graduates seeking employment and creating their own businesses. We enabled foreign training for students of each profession in the school. For these young people, participation in the project was the only chance to gain professional experience abroad. Most of them come from villages and families facing unemployment problem and living off unemployment benefits. The unemployment rate in Świętokrzyskie district is over 25% now. The German company, WBS TRAINING AG, we have been cooperating since 2006, was our partner in that project. It is experienced in working with young people thanks to taking part in different projects of LdV, Socrates, etc. WBS TRAINING AG is a company with more than 30 years of experience. It is a leading provider of educational services famous for its versatile and qualitatively first-class range of vocational training. We also started the cooperation with Training Vision Company, which deals with the planning and management of international mobility projects for students, teachers, young workers and organizations in the framework of EU programs. After the training, the beneficiaries obtained certificates of WBS TRAINING AG and Training Vision as well as Europass-Mobility Documents to confirm their skills and experience gained and to be additional advantages for young people in search of employment in the European labor market. In this way we helped to improve the transparency and recognition of qualifications and the competence of future school-leavers, including those acquired through vocational training. Students learning to be economy specialists had their training in Dresden from 4th to 17th April 2015; IT specialists ( Dresden) and the hoteliers (Leipzig) from 12th to 25th Sept. 2015; advertising techniques specialists in Dresden from 3rd to 16th Oct. 2015 and the hoteliers in London from 12th to 25th April 2015 and from 3rd to 16th April 2016. Students learning to be future hotel industry specialists had the opportunity to complete their internship in two different countries, get to know the functioning of the hotels in Germany and England. Only this profession in our school has eight weeks of training in the curriculum and this gives us the opportunity to share the training for two weeks in Germany and England and four weeks in Poland. It was particularly interesting professional experience. Being able to compare how the hotels operate, how the staff work, how the hotels advertise their services and how they are equipped expanded the professional, interpersonal, linguistic and adaptive skills, increase self-esteem because of additional qualifications. The project will give the students better chances of employment in their profession since it raised their professional attraction for future employers. It will also encourage the students to become self-employed. Understanding the needs and difficult financial situation of the students the school enabled them to have their professional training as part of the grant covering all costs of their participation. For young people that was the only way to acquire professional experience abroad. The benefits the students received was also acquiring new skills, references and experience, supported by a certificate and the Europass Mobility Document.
