The grantees of the project were 48 students of Technical College, who are educated as future general builders, electricians, IT-technicians, surveyors and drywall installer . All of the students come from świętokrzyskie voivodeship - one of the poorest and the worst developed agricultural areas in Poland. What is more, the majority of the beneficiaries often come from families for whom social benefits are the only source of income. Participation in the project is for them the only occasion to gain vocational experience abroad. The main target of the Project was to develop and broaden the knowledge and practical skills of students within the framework of practice. The school as a promoter of the Project wanted to improve the quality of education, especially practical one, and adapt the vocational education to the needs and requirements of the job market. Furthermore, our institution aspired to create new methods and implement pedagogical and technological innovations as well as offers the holistic attitude towards vocational education. As a part of the project the students underwent a two-week training in foreign companies: - training in Barcelona in Spain (25.V-05.VI.2015 – 16 students) - training in Montijo in Portugal (05-16.X.2015 – 16 students) - training in Rimini in Italy (06-17.VI.2016 – 16 students) What is more, along with the resourcefulness training our beneficiaries had an opportunity to compare the functioning of the enterprises both in the country and abroad. Through that kind of training the students found out how to obtain funds from the UE benefits to create their own business. Our Partners were: the Portuguese company – EPD with its headquarters in Portugal and Spain, the Italian company - Sistema Turismo, which are firmly experienced in working with students due to the fact of their long-lasting participating in Leonardo da Vinci and Erasmus+ projects. The main targets of our Partners are sharing experience and knowledge, support of the educational institutions abroad and development of cultural awareness along with the improvement of language skills of those young people entering the job market. The Technical College curriculum envisages vocational training in companies and institutions which operate in the same areas as the scope of education. This function was fulfilled by the abroad traineeship. After the end of the training all the students were given Europass-Mobility and other certificates proving the skills and vocational qualifications they acquired. The measurement of the value added was conducted in the form of an exam while the experience and skills gained were disseminated among the school community. The process of dissemination itself took place though the establishment of the internet platform for the exchange of experience available not only for the beneficiaries but for employers and the young people in the whole country. The execution of the Project has certainly had a positive impact on the functioning of the students on the European job market. The beneficiaries got a valuable training and new skills connected with GPS functioning, AutoCAD program and robotics. Students improved their language skills and developed cultural awareness as well. Complex of Vocational Schools improved the quality of education, increased the number of mobilities and prepared students for the new job market requirements.
