THE CONTEXT AND BACKGROUND OF THE PROJECT
- the project reflects some common problems of the European youth, e.g. school systems don’t always offer enough foundation to start one’s life, youngsters’ general lack of self-knowledge and basic skills to start a career, find a job and establish an enterprise or cope with everyday life and lack of information on opportunities, which often leads to disadvantages and hardens self-realization
- the huge unemployment of youngsters creates a bad feeling about Europe
THE GOALS OF THE PROJECT
- encouraging young people to become entrepreneurs, to gain the knowledge, skills and attitude to become an entrepreneur, collecting experience and practice regarding entrepreneurships
- to make our generation more inclusive, to encourage people with various cultural backgrounds to co-operate, to take mutual responsibility, to the mutual development of their skills within a community
- to publish a model that encourages the youth to become entrepreneurs
- directing attention to the common problems of the European youth
- influencing the decision makers
THE NUMBER AND PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND OF THE PARTICIPANTS
- 5 nationalities and 45 young will attend the exchange and most of them are of disadvantaged background, including disabled and unemployed youngsters
- Six out of the Romanian participants are sight-impaired. They are aware of with abilities of self-realization, obstacles, opportunities for success and limits. They are very motivated to use their talent to create valuable things. Their leaders have a large amount of experience.
- The Czech participants are working on the self-realization and personal development of youngsters through formal and non-formal learning, intercultural communication, international co-operation and active social participation.
- The Bulgarian team has great experience in the fields of non-formal learning, project work, intersector co-operation, supporting youth initiations, research and development and innovation. In the exchange they encourage the youth to become entrepreneurs through their participation.
- The Polish youngsters have experience in international projects, mobility and intercultural communication. They encourage others for the active participation in local communities, making decisions and international partnerships and to cooperate with international networks.
- The Hungarian group is excellent at supporting informal youth initiations and youth events, operating youth clubs and making initiations successful.
THE ACTIVITIES
In the preparation period we, the project partners will establish virtual entrepreneurships, which we will operate for 11 days during the exchange. We will realize the knowledge deepening, practical, cultural, sport and free time activities following the programme plan. We will gain experiences from each other and from the participating local youngsters and we will explore the organizational and personal check points.
In a wider sense, we prepare ourselves through our activities to acquire the skills to be able to deal with the present and future of the European youth.
We intend to reach our goals through sharing the workload among the project partners and practical methods that depend on or complement or strengthen each other.
Intercultural programmes guarantee the realization and deeper understanding of the cultural differences, during which we present our national traditions and habits to each other, because the European Union is much stronger if its nations preserve their traditions and the cultural diversity is blooming.
WORK METHODS
Our work methods are interactive, playful, encourage participation, develop infocommunicative, Youthpass competence and make us able to become entrepreneurs. E.g.real life entrepreneur activities, mentoring group entrepreneurships, collecting ideas through regional trips, workshop of local employees, entrepreneurs and farmers, flashmob, coaching, castings, presenting topic presentations, reports, podcasts, videos, radio spots, making tv intros.
PLANNED RESULTS
The project activities help us become entrepreneurs, we can learn a lot from each other and the local youngsters about how to collect experiences, how to notice opportunities how to make use of them and how to take social responsibility.
THE PLANNED RESULTS OF THE PROJECT
IN THE SHORT RUN
- It provides practical work experience, knowledge and practice how to become entrepreneurs
- how to break out from unemployment
- It widens our perspective on the European and international environment.
- It grows the common activity and responsibility of European youngsters.
- It contributes to the fight against prejudices, racism, and exclusion, moreover, it teaches to be tolerant and to accept diversity.
IN THE LONG RUN
- It serves the mutual understanding among European nations, it increases the intention to co-operate when it comes to problem solving and it encourages building a network based on the openness of youngsters.
