We are a small church high school in the eastern part of Slovakia, where the unemployment rate is very high. Our school has two main tasks in its profile. The first task is a four-year educational programme for students aged 15-19 years, who after graduation will be prepared to study at any university and later will be able to compete in labour market. The second task is to train young people to become mature adults and responsible citizens able to perform various working positions independently. Contemporary strongly globalized world requires ability to acquire information from various sources and afterwards it is necessary to know how to evaluate this information critically. To manage this, it is necessary to speak at least one foreign language. For teachers, who are the creators and the main managers of educational process, it is an absolute necessity to know how to teach their students to critically value various pieces of information from different information sources, especially the Internet. The main project aim is to improve and provide better language skills for the participants. The second goal is to become familiar with many other creative activities subservient to teach subjects and to familiarize with the existence and operation methods of the latest teaching techniques. We will try to fulfil the project objectives via active participation in the 14-day courses organized by the Pilgrims Agency, which already has 40 years of experience in language teaching, especially in training of teachers from around the world. The number of project participants: 3. All the teachers included in the project are the teachers of the science subjects as well as the implementers of the project "Sun is life" in an eTwinning. The impact of this educational activity will be to: - Course participants - school - students By completing educational activities through project, we expect significant improvement in linguistic and methodological skills of participants, subsequent implementation of acquired skills in the learning process and thus increased student motivation for further learning. This will increase their applicability in the labor market and obtain the conditions for integration into the world of education and work in the EU.
