Initiator of the project "Mediterranean cuisine - Spanish experience in the restaurant sector" is Vocational School of Light Industry and construction – Svishtov . The current draft provides sending 10 students from profession „Restaurant keeper ", specialty “Production and service in catering establishment and entertainment restaurants” on two weeks work placement in Valencia, Spain in July 2015. The project focuses on the objectives of the program: to support students to acquire competences (knowledge, skills and attitudes) in order to enhance their personal development and employability of European labor market and enhance the foreign language competence of the participants. In order to succeed, students need to see, learn and apply in the future achievements and experiences of developed European economies with traditions in the field of tourism. The realization of this project aims to : - Expand professional knowledge and skills for production and service at the restaurant in real working environment; - Acquisition of knowledge and skills for the preparation of traditional Spanish dishes and learning the specifics of serving Mediterranean specialties ; - Increase the attractiveness of vocational education and mobility of the individual users and formation of striving for permanent professional development and improvement; - Encourage language learning and improve communication skills of the participants on a new language ; - Acquisition of personal qualities such as discipline, responsibility, accuracy, organization, initiative, inherent to the restaurant keepers in the developed European economies; - Support for personal development , employability of users and their better adaptability of the European labor market . The project partners will allocate duties in order to achieve quality in the conduct of mobility . The sending organization will select participants. It will provide preliminary preparation. During mobility users will work in a real working environment in Spanish restaurants , where they will be guided by mentors provided in each restaurant. Mobility will be monitored by both partner organizations. Vocational School of Light Industry and Construction will work with partner organization to issue Europass certificates to participants and ECVET implementation of validation and recognition of knowledge and skills acquired during their work placement in Spain. Expected results: - Job-related skills in a real working environment for production and service at the restaurant, for preparation of traditional Spanish dishes and learned specifics of serving Mediterranean specialties; - Acquired primary language skills with emphasis on mastering specialized terminology in the restaurant business in Spanish ; - Acquired communication skills on a new language - Spanish, as a result of working in a real working environment in Spain. - Acquired social skills for adaptation in a multicultural environment; - Acquired knowledge about culture, traditions, way of life and work in Spain ; - Gained experience for personal development, employability of users of the European labor market in the long term; - Increased independence and self-confidence of the participants; - Increased motivation for participation in the future (formal/informal) education or training after the end of the mobility abroad. Practical training in real working conditions in Spain will lead to the acquisition of professional skills in a real working environment for production and service in the restaurant. The mobility will contribute for the formation of striving for professional development and improvement, will increase the activity of students for successful realization in the profession and will motivate their professional and personal development. Studying and practicing of Spanish language in real language environment, provided by the project, will enable successful and lasting learning professional vocabulary of the new language and will improve their communication skills. Knowledge of different cultural tradition and adoption of good practices in the restaurant sector will increase the chances of successful adaptation and implementation of the European labor market. Students will increase their self-reliance and self- confidence, they will increase their motivation to participate in further trainings after the end of the mobility abroad, their employability will enhance and they will have better chances for professional development and realization. This project for practical training in a real work placements in Valencia, Spain, will enable effective cooperation in the field of vocational education and training. Promotion of knowledge, skills and competencies, gained during the mobility, will help to increase the motivation of learning, the quality of vocational education and successful implementation of the European labor market.
