The project „Test your skills. International apprenticeship as a first step to your career” is addressed to the students of The First Private School of Hospitality in Zamosc and The School of Craftsmen in Zamosc. The project is addressed to students of catering and hospitality from 1st to 4th year of studies, and outlines the participation of 34 students in a 3 week apprenticeship in The United Kingdom and Germany. KTZ Sp. z o.o. wants to enable the participants acquire professional and language competences as well as gain first professional experience in modern companies abroad. The realization of these key objectives is the main goal of the enterprise, which is compatible with large projects investing in tourism in Zamosc region. The project „Test your skills. International apprenticeship as a first step to your career” can complete such projects because it prepares the students to work with international customers. The objectives of the Project are as follows: - Developing key competences and professional skills, - Improving language skills within the profession, and its practical use, - Gaining first professional experience, - Increasing the opportunities of future employees to find their first job, - Developing the field of European education and improving the clarity of qualifications, - Improving students’ self- esteem, - Introducing innovative elements to vocational education, - Establishing cooperation with educational institutions and companies KTZ Sp. z o.o. assumes that implementation of the project will be highly beneficial both for the participants and institutions which take part. The expected results of students’ participation in the project: - Better knowledge of foreign language within profession, - Mastery of new professional skills depending on the profession and relevant to the programme of apprenticeship, - Acquiring knowledge of European job markets and the opportunities for employment, - Acquring first professional experience, - Improving participants’ self-esteem and developing abilities to work in team, especially internatonal, - Increasing the motivation to learn foreign languages, - Learning the rules applied in modern catering and hospitality companies, - Receiving first certificates to confirm professional qualifications, - The opportunity for students to prepare to their practical exams in an innovative form *The impact on the sending company: - establishing cooperation with partners from abroad, resulting in creating a competent educational center, teaching according to latest European standards, - acquiring competence to prepare students to work in an international environment, - creating mechanisms and procedures to support students in the field of modern catering and hospitality education, - making the educational possibilities more appealing through offering apprenticeships abroad *The impact on host companies: - gaining experience of implementing projects in cooperation with partners from Poland, - getting familiar with the quality of vocational education in Poland, - improving international communication competence, *The project will also have impact on the following target audience: - parents will not have to cover any costs, all the costs involved are covered by Erasmus+ programme, - Zamosc region will gain employees with unique qualifications and knowledge, - junior high (gimnazjum) students will have the opportunity to learn about the benefits of this project and consider them as an incentive to choose a school which implements such projects The following people will Take part in implementation of the project: project coordinator, assistant coordinator, accountant, the group monitors appointed by sending company, tutor appointed by receiving companies, vocational subjects teachers, form tutors at school. Promoting results will progress in multiple directions. KTZ Sp. z o.o. intends to promote the project and its results among: *students of schools run by KTZ, *students of junior high (gimnazjum) in Zamosc region, *vocational subject teachers, *parents, *local community, *companies operating in tourism, *On national and international level: through partners’ websites, press articles, social networking websites
