Nowadays, disturbing trend appears – obesity of the population worldwide. More than 3.2million people are dying every year, because of physical inactivity. Another unpleasant fact is that people with disabilities have less access to sport facilities than the non-disabled people, which contribute to the high percent of inactive citizens. Our goal was to gather young individuals with and without disabilities in one Youth Exchange in order to prove that those two groups can do sports together by employing values such as respect, fair-play, dedication, self – esteem and satisfaction. Thanks to the project the impact on the participants was to raise their movement activities in daily life, endeavor to maintain healthy life-style habits and to promote in their community what they learned on our project. The objectives of our project were to promote: the outdoor activities, social inclusion and youth mobility; and to raise awareness about: capabilities of disabled people, Erasmus+ program and youth policies. 31 participants from Italy, Poland, Turkey, Slovenia and Jordan were chosen for this project. Our target group was disabled and non-disabled people, who had not equal chance in their society. The mentioned parties had to desire to be more active in their community, facing difficulties to access sport facilities due to different reasons and looking for international experience in order to exchange good policies and practices about the inclusion of disabled people in the sport field and also to the healthy life style and well being. The activities were divided in five main groups: for team spirit, sport activities, theoretical sessions, evaluation and reflection moments and discovering the hosting country ones. The projec t combined various methods from non-formal education: ice-breakers, energizers, workshops, presentations, indoor and outdoor sport activities, role-plays, team builders, discussions, focus groups. The impact was seen during the project in Turin, because Eufemia involved many parties for the implemetation: municipality of Turin, social services, associations working with people with disabilities, sport centers and of course the citizens. Our goal was to increase the share of active people, by extending the European initiative of Turin as Sport capital in 2015 and mix our exchange group with the locals. The desired aim of making people more active- regardless of disabilities or obesity - was fully reached. Eufemia believes that by starting with a small international group, people can change step by step this phenomenon, through sharing the experience of our participants with their organizations, families and friends.
