The purpose of the project is to create a stronger cross-border organisation for sports in the Oresund Region. The project will through establishing a cross-border sports secretariat work with a number of issues that make it difficult for developing sporting events and utilizing the different facilities spread all over the region, issues such as transport costs for athletes crossing the Sound, trainer competence, training facilities etc.The project will carry out a series of seminars and conferences during the project in order to put focus on a number of issues such as handicap sports, the importance of research, elite versus non elite. The project will not only work for a better sporting environment on the elite level but also work for a general increase in the quality of life.
