The project Let´s Make Our Planet Healthier Together, which is prepared by the Czech organisation Naděje pro pomoc zdravotně postižené mládeži, the Dutch OZG Werkenrode School, the Slovak Spojená škola and German Berufsbildungswerk Volmarstein, continues in long-term cooperation of these organisations in realisation of youth exchanges for young people with physical disabilities. This year we want to concentrate on environmental issues, which we suppose crucial for the next development of our society. As all involved organisations are focused on support people with physiacal handicap, also this project is intended for them. A group of 10 young people aged 15 -20 and 2 leaders from each country will participate in the project. 8 people providing personal assistance will be involved in the realisation of the Exchange. The main goal of the project is to improve the participant´s knowledge in the areas of environment protection and sustainable development support, to bolster their active attitude to environment protection and acceptance of responsibility for the future of our planet. The project focuses also on the development of active citizenship approaches. Other goals of the project are social integration of people with disabilities support and their communicative competences improvement.The most of the activities aimed at environmental issues will take place in the area of Moravian karst. The activities will be oriented on active learning and on forming of own opinions based on acquired knowledge. The participants will take part in a cave which is normally inaccessible for public, experiments and observations in environmental centre Lipka or exploration of the surrounding of Brněnská Dam. Considerable attention will be paid also to the presentations of individual groups, which will involve basic information about the country and evaluation of key environmental issues in the country. These presentations will be followed by the workshop “Problems of environment protection in all participating countries”, where the participants will draw conclusions from all previous presentations.
