Speech Bubbles provides a platform for European schoolchildren to present their language to children in other countries through a series of 40 short television programmes. These programmes, of around 8 minutes each, relate to themes likely to be of interest to the children (greetings, food, sport, the neighbourhood in which they live, clothes and the body). The Speech Bubbles methodology includes: the development of a framework for the programmes; planning, rehearsing and recording the material (on location and in the studio); editing the video material into short programmes; and evaluating the programmes with different audiences.
