The Joseph Launay School of Pleurtuit is having an important growth of its pupils caused by the city developement. In 2014 the new school rythm with an extension of the morning shifts was implemented. The current institutional context plans the extension of English lessons to preparatory classes. The European opening is one of the main element of the 2015-2018 School Project. Furthermore the town council is supporting this project which the major agreed to be its legal responsible. The teaching staff carries a continuous reflection and analyses the school needs. Regarding the English teaching it appears that it was necessary to build this Erasmus+ project in order to reach five main goals. 1) Allow the English teachers to improve themselves at the linguistic and methodological levels. 2) Improve greatly the overall quality of the English lessons in classes. 3) Gradually strengthen our pupil's English level on the course of their five years in school . 4) Build and sustain our partnership with a British school trough a direct meeting. 5) Develop the European aspect as a motivation and incentive for each child. The two teachers volunteering for this school mobility have long committed themselves trough a personal process of studies and training in the very field of teaching languages at primary school. The two weeks internship organised by SILC and provided by a licenced and experimented London institute presents all the guarantees for an excellent progression both on the linguistic and methodological level. This time will also used to collect authentic material for the English class, and to meet with our British partner from the Gillespie Islington School. These Erasmus+ project expected benefits are likely to improve highly the teaching quality of English as well as our pupil's level while developing their cultural opening and their learning motivation for the rest of their studies on the long term.
