Since 2012 there is a competency model for social and personal skills for vocational education. The application had been limited to the classroom. The question of the applicability of the internship was not explicitly checked. Since in our education focus "social management" are to be completed a total of 6 months of internship we would like to expand the concept to the internship.
Outcome:
With this model of competence our students should learn to assess their learning experience and identify. The school will check which skills were actually for internship abroad acquired and where a demand remains open. They will also increase their competences regarding professional, methodical, intercultural aspects and languages. So they get a better access to the labor market because of this expierence.
Other schools in Austria can use our outcome/expieriences for their vocational training, to evaluate their internship
Profil:
Participating students / insides have already completed 4 months of internship in Austria and know different social / educational facilities.
For summer 2015/16 are projected 17 mobilities in Spain / Sweden / Romania for 40 Days..
2016 17 mobilities in London for 14 Days.
Acitvities:
The students / insides will work in various social institutions between 1 and 2 months and then determine their competence acquisition according to the model. Before they will be introduced with the model during their lessons, and the facilities abroad or the partner institutions. Other competences will be described in written form - with support of our partners.

Effects and sustainability
The school may assess the effect of the placement abroad regarding the acquisition of social skills better and increase the quality of the placement. At the national level, the results can be made available to other school sites. They also develop their abilities for intercultural perpective und languages.
Our partners in the project can also use our model for social competences.
Our international network will be strengthen and will be the basis for new projects/cooperation in the future. We as school can dispose of sustainable intenships and we know what more precisely the possibilities of the acquisition of different competences.
