In South-East Finland, a South-East-Finland Interfood project is ongoing, which will continue its operation until the end of 2003. During the implementation process, a need for measures to advance exports to Russia, the implementation of which is not possible within the project plan of the present Interfood project, has arisen in the target companies. The target group are food companies in South-East Finland; new companies will be added to the group in the future. The aim is both a concrete increase in exports and an opportunity for companies in South-East Finland to utilise Russian expertise (especially sea buckthorn and natural products).
