Soul Connection Estonia
Date du début: 1 janv. 2016,
Date de fin: 31 mai 2016
PROJET
TERMINÉ
The Youth Exchange Soul Connection Estonia would blend folklore dances from different parts of Europe, (Baltic and Balkan countries ). Participants would teach each other traditional dances, sharing culture, and learning new dancing steps as tools for intercultural learning. The youth exchange is designed to blend groups, so each participant to be able to learn traditional dances from all countries. The aim of the project is very simple: unifying through diversity! Through folklore dances, participants would be encouraged to feel as part of one Europe. The public performance planned for the grand finale of the youth exchange would include the local community where they could be also part of the promotion of the unifying idea about Europe. The methods that are planned include intercultural and non-formal learning methods as part of the process of implementation of this youth exchange and set the participants in a position where they would learn from each other and teach each other about their customs, traditions, everyday life and perception of Europe in general. Each group would have participants coming from socially excluded groups (Roma youth, disabled youth, minority youth) where the youth exchange would give them opportunity to feel as part of the mainstream culture, and unifying Europe. With the inclusion of the youth with fewer opportunities, we would like to include them into the Erasmus + Programme as a programme for all young people of Europe. The participants of the Youth Exchange would promote not only their national cultures, but the cultures of the minority groups as part of their society. The main objective of this youth exchange is focusing on the presentation of the cultural diversity that is present in the countires that are participanting in the exchange. We are speaking here, not only about the diversity for country to country, but also the diversities that exist in the countries themselves. Every European country nowadays consist of a multitutde of cultures living and co-existing together in the same society. This co-existance often leads to misinterpretations of each culture that exists in a country. The Youth Exchange would initiate a process of intercultural learning and dialogue and trough facilisation the participants wouls be guided on how to find similarities among different cultures and ways of life, and with that to give participants opportunity to create a perception towards these divesities as richness of Europe, not as a point of division. Project is planed to be held in area of Narva from 01.06.2016 to 09.06.2016. In this project will be involved 35 participants and group leaders from 5 countries (Estonia,Bulgaria, Macedonia, Spain, and Slovenia).
