Date du début: 7 juil. 2014, Date de fin: 28 févr. 2015 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Soft Skills and Youth employment is a project that will least seven months that will involve 10 associations from 6 European countries (Spain, Portugal, Greece, Norway, Bulgaria and Italy). The project is composed by two phases: a first phase in which technical and political representatives of the realities involved (actually 2 for each for a total of 20 persons) will meet and discuss the issue of non-formal education, in relation to how to promote projects that are useful to strengthen and formal recognition of soft skills in relation to the needs of the labor market and youth entrepreneurship, at this stage we will define procedures for meeting and communication between government agencies, schools, voluntary sector and the business world; a second phase in which a group of young people from each country (6 young people with a companion for a total of 42 people) will meet to discuss ideas and concrete projects , in order to develop a practical path that shows: the skills cross-cutting, the use of the tools for the certification of non-formal training programs and how to deal with agencies to support youth entrepreneurship and the search for their first job. The increase of young people who fall under the classification of NEET (neither in education, employment or training) is a phenomenon which causes increasing concern among the European Union as a whole and that interests also the Trentino Alto Adige, which sees a progressive phenomenon of de-industrialisation, poor renewal of the productive apparatus and loss of competitiveness, with the risk of a steep fall in terms of opportunities and of prospects for future generations. The prevailing condition that makes young people NEET has to be found in the inactivity, which produces an immediate effect of reducing of the self-esteem and of the ability to seize potential opportunities, this form of discomfort in which often the structures of formal education are involved in a fragmented way, disconnected from expectations of young people, on one side, and business and the world of work, on the other. The promotion of non-formal education in this context has a dual potential: reducing discouragement and the inactivity for young people and helping to develop and to recognize transversal skills, soft skills, which are increasingly qualifying as essential elements to establish the employability of an individual. According to a study commissioned by the European Youth Forum, the non-formal education, considered as a structured set of educational processes that unfold alongside the traditional structures for formal education, generally on a voluntary and conscious basis, has a prominent role in increasing the employment prospects of those who adhere to. The acceptance of different skills and a more qualified set of soft skills requires a review of the form of operation and integration between formal and non-formal education structures, involving an innovation process in both fields. In extreme summary, the objectives of the project are: - To promote a comparison between public and private on the issue of population defined Neet and on what activities promoting to counter the rise; - To define the procedures for the recognition of non-formal education involving domains connected to the world of work and formal education; - To help youth organizations world to understand how to develop projects that are useful to the development and recognition of transversal skills; - to create a European network which can facilitate the dissemination of educational opportunities and employment among young people. To develop these targets it will be promoted a program of activities based on an active and participatory methodology , with an approach that facilitates the involvement and the expressive possibilities of all participants. During the study tour there will be panel discussions , public meetings and works of common synthesis to identify operational guidelines and best practices reproducible in different operating environments. During the preparation phase of the Action 2 and during the week of meeting, through discussion groups , creative workshops and specific group activities, young people will be able to experiment, analyze and discuss some aspects related to youth unemployment, formal and non -formal education and opportunity of support to young entrepreneurs and job search , simulating a business plan . The type and method of operation of the activities will facilitate the learning of communication skills , of conflict resolution and of decision making in a team as well as the ability to identify and to assess what kind of soft skills help to develop some non – formal activites . Participants will be better informed and they will be able to use tools for the certification of the studied non- formal educations .
