Viticulture is an important agricultural activity in both hemispheres of the world due to versatile evaluation chance of grape. Turkey is one of the homeland country of vine and it has an important place in terms of growing area and yield in the world due to favorable climatic and soil requirements. Turkish viticulture becomes prominent with seedless grape production while it is not the same case in table grapes. Presence of high-quality table grape varieties is not enough to take advantage for table grape production in all over the World. Therefore, it is aimed with this project to develop and strengthen our marketing potential to EU countries in terms of table grapes production. Aegean region is in the first place in terms of table grape production in Turkey. Also if we assess on the basis of provinces, Manisa has the highest production in terms of table grape production. Selection of optimal ecological places for our important table grape varieties, implementation of specific growing techniques as “Organic and Good Agricultural Practices” for achieving high export quality and awareness of producers on these techniques are required in Manisa province which has a strong production potential. With this purpose, participation to the educations, trainings and observations about organic and good agricultural practices in Italy (eminent country with table grape production) with 12 expert researchers who works in Manisa Viticulture Research Station will be provided. Therefore new techniques will be learned by participants with on the job trainings, observations and educations. Then their experiences will be trasfered to the farmers and agriculture engineers in Manisa and Region. Experts of Manisa Viticulture Research Station, who are training to the large number of farmers and technical personnel every year, will be studied to increase organic and good agricultural practices for table grape production. In addition it will be prevented of the pesticide residue problems which impairs the image of Turkish grapes in recent years. As a result, it will be provided that high quality products which can be exportable and placed long term in EU market.
