Social me - let`s be online
Date du début: 8 févr. 2015, Date de fin: 8 juin 2015 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The project: “Social me – lets be online” is a Training Course designed for experienced youth leaders from European countries interested in introducing media as a tool in their organizations and in their work with young people. It encourages cooperation, exchange of experience, skills and good practices between people working with youth and youth organizations. It will last 9 days and will take place near Strelcha (Plovdiv), in March-April 2015. The project will involve 39 participants from: Bulgaria, Slovakia, Lithuania, Portugal, Romania, Greece, Estonia, Poland, Denmark, France, Serbia, Spain and Armenia, three trainers and facilitators and one person support staff from "Europe on the move". The main goal of the project is: to show the participants how Internet and social media can be used as a way to promote active citizenship and youth entrepreneurship. The specific goals are: know-how for bringing youth-related issues to mainstream media; formation of skills for initiative and entrepreneurship, organizational skills for realization of different activities and encouragement of young people to be active European citizens. The main activities of the project are: discussions, interactive presentations, games, outdoor activities as well as cultural evenings. The working methods, which we have chosen are in conformity with the non-formal education: creative presentations, "ice-breakers", "energizers", "harkness discussion", "group building" games, “lessons learned”, “learning by doing”, methods for summarizing, working in small groups, evaluation methods, "World cafe". Managing an online presence and being able to interact effectively online is becoming an increasingly important skill in the workplace. Being able to quickly adapt to new technologies, services and environments is already regarded as a highly valuable skill by employers, and can facilitate both formal and informal learning. Most services are text based, which encourages literacy skills, including interpretation, evaluation and contextualisation. The main result which we expect to achieve is a well-built team of active European citizens, who will develop thorough knowledge about social media marketing, and new startup ideas that are possible thanks to Internet and technological development. The participants in the training course will understand how social networking services can be used for organising activities, events, or groups to showcase issues and opinions and make a wider audience aware of them. Last but not least, the Training Course will contribute to establish a long lasting partnership with other young persons and representatives of organizations that work with young people and children around Europe, providing space for project planning between organizations.
