SEE Possibilities: ’’Social Entrepreneurship Empowerment Possibilities” Seminar 29th August to 2nd September 2014, Brussels, Belgium During the strong economical crisis in the last few years, which has affected the whole Europe the level of unemployment of young people has increased as well as the level of their insecurity in the future. This has strong impact on social needs, sustainable livelihoods, social exclusion and discrimination as well. In this context, social entrepreneurship has an important role of seeking innovative solutions to social problems. Innovators and social entrepreneurs seek to serve the community’s interest by creating solutions that address societal needs that benefit themselves and their communities. Young people can be part of this process of finding new way for solution of social needs, which are not adequately met by the market or the public sector and are directed towards vulnerable groups in society. Based on this, came up an idea to built a relationship among different NGOs coming from EU, SEE and eastern countries for joint collaboration to make a change in the society by giving them mutual understanding of social entrepreneurship and it’s opportunities. The main objectives of the training course are: -To introduce social business entrepreneurship as the opportunity of increasing employability of young people and entering the labor market. -To promote entrepreneurial attitude by creating a joint multi-stakeholder approach to social entrepreneurship. -To create an international opportunity for Balkan and other countries with less opportunities within social entrepreneurship area to become an integral part of wider EU strategies on social entrepreneurship development by linking them and building relationships with EU countries. -To provide a broader understanding and skills to participants who work directly with young people of how to empower and work to raise entrepreneurial attitude in young people. -To motivate participants by introducing entrepreneurship success stories from different countries to talk about how they managed to establish and preserve the business. This seminar is recommended for Youth workers, Youth leaders, coaches, young social entrepreneurs, formal educational professionals and employment counselors who work with young people etc. with an interest in social entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial learning. Participants will be selected through the application form. Applicant should briefly write in the application form concrete project idea or plan in the area of Social entrepreneurship. This seminar will give better understanding to participants about social entrepreneurship approach in every of participating country as well as possibilities for joint transnational cooperation. It will provide skills and methods to participants who work directly with young people of how to foster entrepreneurial attitude and sense of initiative in young people as well as to motivate them to become active citizens in their communities and on the European level. Participants are expected to gain a wider knowledge and motivation to promote entrepreneurial attitude among young people. It will provide sessions for future project planning and initiatives between participating countries.
