As national level partners, Oulun Diakoniaopisto and Sataetu participate in the mobility project coordinated by Seurakuntaopisto. Cooperation with Oulu dates back to Diakoniaopisto network, and with Sataetu, SO operates in the TOI project concerning practical nursing training. Together we represent all-round vocational second level education. We are sure that multi-form international cooperation is an essential part of organizing and pedagogical developing of education. We have recognized our strengths and challenges in our Mobility actions. In this Smooth Mobility –project we want to offer more flexible mobilities for students and experts and at the same time benefit the learning outcomes in our competence. The goal of this project is to strengthen both students’ and specialists’ professional qualifications to operate in the international working environment. The project aims at improvement of international work placement by committing to, for ex. ECVET principles and competence based assessment as well as developing the mobility processes to be even smoother and of high-quality. In the frames of vocational education curricula reforming, international activities will be rewritten in order to meet the students’ needs better. Several of our international partners go back a long way and we have a long cooperation history. There are also some new partners with whom we are eager to benchmark, share good experiences and to learn new. There are six foreign educational institutions and six other organisations as partners in our network. Students’ mobility periods last 5-8 weeks and those of specialists 3-5 days. During the project Sept 1, 2014- May 31, 2016, 38 students will take part in the mobility (8 of which need special support); as well as 17 specialists and 3 supporting teachers as accompanying persons. In addition to improvement of planning, implementation and evaluation of mobility, the project also focuses on improving the existing processes (process descriptions, curricula, material bank and web pages) as well as develops quality evaluation methods (Webropol) . Working methods are reporting, instructing, counseling, guiding, coordination and cooperation meetings. The project results are coaching courses for the students, material bank in net environment, updated process descriptions of specialists’ and students’ mobility, as well as curricula, well-functioning websites and students feedback questionnaire in cooperation with Oulu Diakoniaopisto and Sataetu. Results in the long run are strengthening of vocational competence in the educational institutions, at workplaces and in the cooperation networks. Partners' knowhow and knowledge of mobility projects support aiming these results.
