The project aimed to support the continuous professional development of VET teachers in the use of interactive technology for teaching and learning. It aimed to transfer the good practice in the delivery of training on IWBs to the VET sector in Ireland and to provide VET teachers with competencies needed to design educational resources suitable to be used with IWBs and to integrate them in everyday teaching activities.This was achieved by:1. Undertaking a needs analysis of Irish VET teachers in terms of IWBs training2. Selecting a pilot group of VET teachers in Co Wicklow VEC and training them as IWBs Champions 3. Developing a Training Course and CPD materials on IWBs based on the knowledge and experience of project partners 4. Creating an online Community of Practice for VET teachers. 5. Testing the CPD materials within VET teachers in Ireland6. Disseminating the project outcomes across Europe.Project outputs are of special interest to teachers, trainers and tutors who wish to improve their ICT skills and adopt use IWBs for the delivery of teaching and learning. A training programme, a suite of learning materials and an online Community of Practice were successfully developed to enable VET teachers to exchange their ideas and experience, to share new and innovative lessons and access a wide variety of professional development resources.
