The project will involve 24 participants - young people from Poland and Slovakia in the age of 18 - 24 years, who are interested in culture and history. The aim is to explore the beauty of diversity and uncover our common identity. During ten days of workshops the youth can learn from each other, discover their common roots and heritage in the picturesque surroundings of Slovensky Raj. Through strengthen cooperation between two groups of young people the participants will learn their neighbour language and culture. The project puts stress on the common roots of Slavic nations as a part of European identity. By handicraft activities young people can develop their creativity and discover hidden passions and talents by working together. Holding national traditions will be one of the project's results. The particiapants will create their own Slavic Slawanderful encyclopedia consisting of their common discoveries and outcomes of their learning process. Methodology of the non-formal education will be used. By different types of workshops based on ,,learning by doing" method participants will gain and develop many useful skills. Such as seewing, painting, archery, swordplay and variety of handicrafts. However we know, the level of globalisation and the need of promoting democratic values have always developed on basic abilities and skills of other people. Participants will gain these skills and abilities during the project, so they will become more suitable employees. At the same time they will develop rhetorical skills in their mother tongue, but in English as well. The objectives of our workshops and other activities are making young people more open-minded to other cultures and to overcome the geographical borders in our heads - encourage young people to be more related to the others. What we see as one of the most important goals is to make people proud on their Slavic heritage and in the same time discover multiculturality and hidden similarities between our nations. Improving the level of key competences and social skills will support the future cooperation between our two european nations.
