The project aims to implement international professional internships of students of the Secondary Nursing School in Humenné. Total of 34 selected students of the care assistant field of study will participate in 2 weeks professional clinic training in the contracted medical facilities of our project partners, which are three secondary schools of nursing in the Czech Republic / Třebíč, Praha, Ostrava /. The main objective of the project is to expand the volume of mobility of students in our school in order to develop professional competencies of care assistants as are necessary for the performance of nursing profession. With the project we plan to implement 5 turnrounds of mobility, three turnrounds for 14 students of 3rd grade and 2 turnrounds for 20 students of 4th grade. 3rd grade students will undergo through the project 2 weeks of compulsory continuous professional training at workplaces and departments of the Hospital in Třebíč / 4 students in June 2014 and 4 students in June 2015 / and the departments of Vítkovice Hospital in Ostrava / 6 students in June 2015 /. Professional clinical training of students in all three turnrounds will focus on strengthening of professional knowledge and skills and practicing new skills mainly in departments and other specialized institutions, which we do not have in the seat of our school. 4th grade students will participate in two turnrounds of internships in hospitals in Praha / 10 students – September 2014, 10 students – September 2015/. The project will include training placement in specialized hospitals and best equipped workplaces focused on specific skills training implemented within the complex nursing care for patients with specific medical diagnosis. In all turnrounds students will work on a designated establishments, in cooperation with the partner school student seven hours a day, will be members of the nursing team performance and implement nursing care according to the orientation of the individual departments. Within the stay they will visit other specialized departments. In each turnround students will be provided a support by their accompanying teachers of professional training from the Secondary Nursing School in Humenné. We expect that participating in professional clinic internships will students see as one of the possibilities of improving their professional training skills that will increase their motivation for achieving good learning outcomes and that they will demonstrate achieved knowledge, skills, habits and attitudes in further studies. Passing mobility enables personal development for students who may be the first time outside the family, make new friends and contacts, get to know new cities and regions. Implementation of the project will enable the school to develop cooperation with partner schools, improve the teaching process, development of professional competencies of teachers in teaching vocational subjects as well as experience in project implementation, preparation of professional texts which will serve other students and teachers, improve the image of the school in the region, increase the interest of potential prospective students in the field of a care assistant.
