?Skills University? is a training course focused on providing practical experience and skills to youth leaders on how to create a sustainable Youth Organisation and run successful projects. The main objectives of this training course were to train participants on how to create long-term strategies, to ensure sustainable funding and to attract, motivate and retain volunteers for their organisations. In addition, this training course improved the participants? soft skills and trained participants on how to carry out effective project management. The participants of this training course were youth workers, youth leaders, youth organisation founders and project managers of newly established youth organisations or youth organisations that were facing serious issues. Turkey, Slovakia, Lithuania, Greece, Portugal, Italy and Croatia, have been participated in this training course, which took place in Düzce, Turkey between the 1st and the 9th of September 2014. All activities which carried out used non-formal and informal learning methods. All activities have been designed and evaluated in order to achieve the learning objectives of this training course. Self-learning and self-assessment has been encouraged in order to provide the participants with a more in-depth learning experience. The main activities of the training course are the following. Department of Skills: workshops were provided for the participants to improve their weak skills. Attraction and Retention of Volunteers: the participants were discussed methods to develop strategies concerning the attraction, motivation and retention of volunteers. Sustainable Funding: the participants were engaged in role-play in order to learn how to obtain sponsorships from companies. Outdoor Problem-Solving Day: the participants were completed challenging tasks as a team in order to develop their skills and to learn how to develop effective strategies. A member of Düzce Rotary Club and also a young entrepreneur Cando?an Bekta? who is also a CEO of his company joined our project as a speaker and expert to share his leadership skills with our participants. His two sessions with all participants during one day was very succesfull and efficient. It made people to get real life experience. The major impact of the project which is achieved were that the knowledge and skills of the participants and as a result of their youth organisations improved, in order to ensure growth, success and sustainability of their youth organisations. In Addition, we worked with very experienced trainers - Bahad?r Ülgen and ?brahim Yorulmaz - and they organised and designed the activities with us. With their help and their guidance in all activities, we reached all our aims very easily and effectively.
