Skills for True Wellbeing
Date du début: 1 janv. 2013,

The project aims at improving the content and delivery of adult education through providing adult education organizations with tools that enhance the wellbeing of their staff as well as learners. Experience of the partners involved in this project as well as research show that wellbeing is a core inner resource that allows a person to use his or her potential fully, work productively, deal with stress and life challenges, contribute to the community and create a meaningful life aligned with one's values. Wellbeing is the foundation for physical, emotional, mental and social health. Wellbeing is of growing significance in policy circles and public debate. However, the education system does not strongly focus on providing people with skills that directly help to enhance and sustain their wellbeing. This project aims to compensate for this shortage. Through this project we will examine specific needs of adult education staff and learners related to wellbeing and support adult educations organizations in creating holistic organizational paradigm which empowers people at all levels to achieve more of their potential. Among the outputs of the project will be: a high quality in service training as well as a guidebook for adult education professionals, and an e-platform for exchange of experiences/good practices. Enhanced level of wellbeing of adult education professionals will allow them to make best use of their potential, elevate their work performance and job satisfaction and prevent burn out syndrome. The second target group of this project are adult learners. Hence, the project aims at equipping educators with the ability to create supportive learning environment that encourages the adult learners to express themselves, develop their talents, explore new opportunities and peruse challenging goals. Also, attractive curricula and teaching methods as well as online learning resources focused on building skills for enhanced wellbeing for adult learners will be created.
