Šiuolaikinis mokytojas - ateities kartų architektas
Date du début: 1 sept. 2016, Date de fin: 31 août 2018 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Lithuanian student performance in an international context shows that the achievements in natural sciences, mathematics and reading have only slightly improved and just the lowest achievement level is reached by the majority of pupils; so it is necessary to enhance the learning paradigm to create new, engaging learning environment for students, associate education with IT, creativity, innovation, have a provision for a lifelong learning and strengthen leadership at all levels. One of the ways to achieve this is the constant improvement of teachers in Lithuania as well as adoption of the best foreign teaching practices. Alytus Šaltiniai school, providing high quality general primary or secondary education, is focusing on the most important twenty-first century teaching (learning) priorities realising that a rapidly changing world will require a number of new skills not only to tackle children and youth-related issues, but also ensure the quality of teaching / learning that satisfy students, their parents and the society. School teachers and leaders recognise that in the world that is full of skills such as critical, analytical, creative thinking, problem-solving ability, initiative and sociability, they become more valuable than the actual accumulated knowledge and information. However, in the world of smart technologies and rapid changes, teachers not always manage an easy transition from providing the knowledge to empowerment of students to discover and develop knowledge, from promotion of effective learning of the instructions to granting the promotion of effective learning, from the uniform methods for everyone to respecting individual needs and abilities. For this reason, while realising the project „ A Teacher - the Architect of Future Generation", the school community will strengthen its leadership skills, improve the education of STEAM subjects, and acquire the competences required by a 21st century teacher, which will help think innovatively and look at the process of teaching/learning in a creative way. School community, talented teachers and leaders will work together in the Leaders‘ Club, connecting diferrent teachers from all over Europe. This will have a positive impact on our school students' motivation and progress, STEAM based learning, and it will also improve the quality of education in Europe. 16 participants of the project will take part in a different kind of staff mobility: icluding participation in teacher training courses abroad and a job shadowing period in a partner school. Staff mobility is directly related to the modern educational strategy. Their development will be based on the theoretical analysis of materials, engaging activities, experimental learning, communication and collaboration. At the end of each day the participants will reflect on their work, experiences gained and discuss how to use the practices when organising and planning the formative(educational ?) process. After returning from training events, methodical days and seminars, these teachers will share the best experiences from foreign schools, propose new or adapted teaching methods in a conference to both local and republic educators . Not only would they present it but also apply it in practice. This will strengthen their skills as teacher leaders. Innovation and creativity in teaching students and colleagues by their own example will be an important stimulus allowing the school to motivate and follow the path of progress. Project participants, ready to improve and share the best practices , will improve not only the general, professional and personal competences but also enhance the provision to develop their own learning, realise the benefits of mutual assistance and peer –to- peer collaboration. This will help to strengthen the community of learners, to accelerate the implementation of the most significant changes in the educational system of Lithuania, fulfill the strategic objectives of the school and enchance the shared leadership. Each student will have favourable conditions for personal growth; lessons will be held in a motivating environment for each member of the community.
