Rechercher des projets européens

Sisä-Savon kansalaisopiston kansainvälisyyskuriirit
Date du début: 1 juin 2015, Date de fin: 31 mai 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

According to our strategy, we intend to enhance internationalization and cooperation with different European countries as well as with Russian Karelia. With this project we seek to deepen professional competence in different subjects, to improve the quality of teaching with the help of high-quality European in-service training courses, to support the career development of our teachers through creating networks of professionals of different fields, and to strengthen the ability to use foreign languages in our teaching. In many areas of teaching European courses support the teaching done in our adult education centre, and at the same time provide a European viewpoint to our work. International projects develop the quality of teaching, and motivate both teachers to develop their own work and students to interact in an international setting. In-service training aims at building projects at an organizational level, and creating European in-service training courses. Our future hope would be to be able to offer our own Erasmus+ in-service training courses to participants of other European countries, because we have experts in different fields whose language skills and competence are good enough to lead international in-service courses or visits. One of the aims of this project is also to support the career development of individual teachers as European experts able to work internationally. Obviously, foreign language teaching requires a lot of support material from different Internet applications, but still the best international interaction is done through working together with people from different countries. Our target is to find partners of communication from other countries, to whom our students could be in contact with through AC-connections. Varied teaching methods used in different countries enrich the teaching of learners of different ages through exchanging teaching methods and sharing teaching materials. It is also important to find diverse functional methods with which it is possible to enliven the teaching of adult learners. Getting to know the adult education organizations of different countries also provides a broader perspective to the entire European educational context. One of the key thoughts of this project is to familiarize ourselves with the European dimension and to get to know other cultures better. Getting to know teaching standards and methods and learning about the cultural heritage of different European countries is vital in creating a unified Europe. Since we are a part of the UNESCO- Associated Schools Network, the teaching of cultural heritage is essential in our adult education centre. We have made the concept of world heritage known to people by providing lectures of the Finnish UNESCO sites and visits to them. We would like to expand this area of teaching to involve other parts of Europe as well. The teachers who get involved in this project will be given a special task to describe and document the World Heritage Sites of the country he/she visits. Afterwards this teacher would be able to talk to his/her students about the World Heritage Sites of this particular country, or give a lecture on them. This is one way of creating interest in World Heritage Site –travelling among our students, since this concept is fairly unknown to people in Finland. We are applying for a job shadowing –period for three teachers and in-service training courses for the principal and seven teachers. The mobilities will be distributed in the years of 2015 and 2016. The participants have chosen the in-service courses themselves on the basis of their professional needs, and will take care of the travel arrangements themselves since they all are professionals with sufficient language skills. In an organizational level the aim of this project is to connect those teachers who are interested in internationalization with each other and to inform their experiences and new knowledge to the staff of our organization, the people living in the region and colleagues in the area at the minimum. We also strive for creating a multicultural procedure in our organization, and enhancing the interest of the people to internationalization. There is a lot to be done in this sector in the rural area, because in the adult education branch there is still little courage to embark on international projects.
