Single European Market and EU Competition Law
Date du début: 1 sept. 2014, Date de fin: 31 août 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

This Jean Monnet Module proposal aims at offering three courses on “Single European Market and Economic & Monetary Union”, “EU Competition Law (I): Private Restraints”, and “EU Competition Law (II): Public Restraints”, which would be progressively taught during the next three academic years (2014-15, 2015-16 and 2016-17).The three courses are conceived as an itinerary which will give students further knowledge of a specific and very important field of EU Law with huge practical implications in daily life of citizens and economic operators. A student could, therefore, follow the 3 courses during 3 consecutive years and get a first overall specialisation on the main principles and rules governing movement and economic activities in the Single European Market. The courses are interrelated and registration preference will be given to students that have satisfactorily followed previous stages. However each course is designed as an independent course so that a student may opt to follow just one or two of them.In addition to the 3 main courses, the Jean Monnet Module: 1. will organise events such as seminars and debates, and a Lecture series on “European Citizens and the Single European Market”2. will prepare and launch and Open educational resource (Introductory Course on the Single European Market) in both Spanish and English,3. will make publications (working papers, articles, books), 4. and disseminate information to the general public (newspaper articles, radio and/or tv interviews...). It will also use its website and social networks to foster debate, dissemination and information in this area. The Jean Monnet Module would be an opportunity to enhance the already existing activities and networks of the Institute of European Studies and its Centre for Competition Policy in this area.
