Topic of the project – promotion of simulation games as a tool of non formal education and a method of working with Not in Education, Employment or Training (further - NEETs) youth. Topic is relevant for youth workers and improving their skills in order to make non formal education and project financed from Erasmus + more attractive and interesting for young people.
Overall objective of the project – improving professional skills of youth workers and trainers working with NEETs.
Specific objectives:
1. Share existing experience of simulation games used for trainings with NEETs.
2. Increase knowledge and improve skills on creation of Simulation Games as a tool for non-formal education, focusing on the work with NEETS.
3. Broader multicultural understanding by sharing experience of each country and each trainer.
Expected results:
1. Shared experience and good practices among partners in the field of implementation of Simulation Games as a method for work with NEETs.
2. Improved knowledge and skills of 24 youth workers and trainers for educating their target groups (NEETs) with simulation games as a one of the tools.
Target groups:
1. Organizations working in a field of youth work, non-formal education and works with NEETS.
2. Youth workers and trainers working with NEETS.
Project involves 6 partners from Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Belarus, Italy and Armenia The main activity of the project is 7 days training course for 24 youth workers from different countries working with NEETs. During this training course, organized in Moldova participants will not only share their experiences and methods used with other participants, but also create their own example of simulation game for working with NEETs. They will be able to use it during their later work in local environment. A game will involve country's background, problems and will be useful.
Facilitators will provide participants with the latest theoretical approach to simulation games and invite to try new method of future trainings increasing variety of tools and techniques already in use. Non-formal and informal learning methods will be used during the training course: discussions, open space and world café, group work, interactive games and simulations, reflections, learning by doing, etc. It is planned that the project participants’ gained experience and new knowledge will be used for working with Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEETs) youth in their own countries, and practically adapted to their national cultural context, this resulting in an impact at the local, regional, national, European and/or international levels.
