In the project „Reach the stars – from needs to dreams” the participation of 12 teachers was planned, among which are teachers of early school education, Polish, Science, PE and the Headmistress. Most of them are graduate teachers, associated with the school for many years, creating its character and traditions. They have taken up a lot of essential initiatives for the school and the local society. Selecting the team took place in an open and voluntary way. Within the declaration teachers presented their vision of school development from the standpoint of their competence and teaching experience and proposed their contribution to its implementation.The goals of our project are connected with the improvement of the school work quality and concern raising teachers' qualifications and skills in the use of English and German, increasing students' sensitivity to the cultural and language diversity, enhancing the use of school's technical base that enables contact using information and communication technologies and its use by the teachers in class and beyond, strengthening the European dimension of the school and increasing its international range. According to the assumptions, teachers will attend courses improving their foreign language skills and language courses in methodology.The mobility is planned for the period of July-October 2016. All trips will be preceded by language-methodological, logistic and cultural preparations. Selected courses meet the teachers’ expectations and contribute to improving the quality of school work in the areas where the changes are essential. The participation in international language courses will be the start of new activities to educate students, enhancement of the opportunities to make new international contacts, broadening the school educational offer and raising its prestige. The gained knowledge during each course will encourage their participants, provide them with specific skills and trigger creative attitude and thinking. The opportunity to take part in such program will have a great impact on the participants, institution and its community – teachers, students, parents and the local society with which the school cooperates. Each teacher after the completion of the project will gain new experiences, improve language skills, broaden the scope of professional activities by using knowledge of the language, use the English-language sources of information and introduce elements of the language during eg. journalism or theatrical classes. Thanks to the Erasmus + project, teachers will try to cooperate with other schools and realize the joint educational projects in various fields of knowledge. Through such actions, students will be able to communicate with their peers from other countries eg. through implementation of interesting junior high school projects. Thereby, they will understand the social and cultural diversity of EU better and become more tolerant and open. The knowledge, experience and competence gained during exchange courses will be enclosed in the work plan and the school development plan (new curricula in the field of English and German, the innovation concerning teaching German on the basis of English, CLIL). After the mobilities, actions multiplying the project results are planned, the recipients of these actions being teachers, students and children from other schools in the city and county, the parents of our students and finally children and tutors from the district day-care room bringing together pupils from families that are poor or facing social maladjustment .For the planned project realization, its management will be run according to a detailed plan – the activity schedule, developed before its realization. The schedule includes the following phases: identification, planning, implementation, assessment and evaluation of the project. The European dimension of school will be enhanced, scheduled courses will cause the growth of participants’ language competences and establishment of new international contacts. The project will increase the education level in our school. Teachers’ competences will rise, they will learn the ways of working in a European, multicultural community. With the growth of their language competences, teachers can enhance their impact on activities in the international environment. Participation in courses will positively affect the school promotion and certainly provide long-lasting results. With all the planned actions, the school will become a living example of the idea of learning throughout our whole life.
