This project is devoted to the mobility of the staff of our school: Gimnazjum 164 with Oddzialami Integracyjnymi and Oddzialami Dwujezycznymi im. Polskich Olimpijczykow in Warsaw. The project assumes taking part in mobilities: teachers, psychologists and pedagogues, and school administration staff. The mobilities involve countries such as: Finland, Great Britain (England), Portugal, Spain and Malta and they are mostly trainings (5 mobilities), job shadowing and observing school managing in other than Polish educational system (two mobilities, one of them- job shadowing). The project lasts two years. Particular mobilities will take from 5 to 9 days. The main aim of the project is increasing competences of our school workers. And therefore make students take over the new skills and attitudes which would be observed by them to achieve better results in the final exams and in that way improve our school development in European aspects. Mobilities have the shapes of Olympic disc and boomerang – countries where the school employees would be sent give the view of methods used in European education, will create the logical sequence and will come back in a form of experience to our school and region. One of the priorities of our school is promoting healthy lifestyle and encouraging teenagers to choose our school as the one with clear schedule based on promoting physical activities, psychological aspects and also philosophy which let students develop their potential. Mobilities would be prepared for educators who teach: History, Geography, Chemistry, Biology, Foreign Languages, Physical Education in regular and bilingual classes and also for school workers not connected with didactic but social and behavioral areas, Additionally, the school administration staff will participate in strategic training courses and will have an opportunity to become acquainted with managing system of well prospering schools in other countries. Theses all actions will contribute to gain knowledge and ideas in order to share with others e.g. to achieve higher results in pre and final exams. Chosen actions will make participants enhance knowledge, skills, international contacts and at the same time they will improve the quality of work in all areas of our school. Training courses and observations will concern: working with a student with special needs, creative ways and methods in teaching foreign languages process and teaching in bilingual classes, usage of innovative technics to join pro healthy content to school strategies and also couching elements. All mobilities will be approved by Europass Mobility certificate and enclosed in the biographical work documentary of teachers who are applying to receive their tutorial upper diploma according to Polish educational system regulations. The project will influence greatly the improvement of education and cultural broadness of our staff, at the same time, it will contribute the rising attraction of our school and will result in better achievements of our students. The school will benefit in professionalism and innovation and it will also enrich its activity in international cooperation. The superior idea of the project is the confidence that everyone can be Olympian. It is mainly possible when a student on his way meets people who believe in his success and will uncover his potential talent and will show him the direction and ways to personal achievements. Olympics and the idea of the singleness of purpose have metaphorical meaning. It indicates wider, global dimension, the teacher – the guide and the coach will be able to seek proper methods, which lead a student to show his potential. However, it is possible only if the potential of the teacher is fully recognized and his methods, skills and knowledge are constantly developed.
