Date du début: 1 juin 2015, Date de fin: 31 mai 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Landsjöskolan is a school of about 350 pupils aged 6 to 13. The school is situated in the Municipality of Jonkoping in the south-west of Sweden. In our organization we have taken out an ambitious international development plan, which is the background in our wish to prepare ourselves for an Erasmus + Mobility Project. This means that we feel a great need to include an obvious European dimension into the actions of our school. I am, as the Principal of Landsjöskolan, responsible for my staff and to make them more aware of the importance of developing different educational skills. Regular staff interviews plus formal and informal contacts give me important information, too. It is very obvious that the teachers at Landsjöskolan have great ambitions. Out of background and teaching experience I have been informed that four of our teachers at present feel a real need and wish to develop their oral and written competence and skill in the English language. With this in mind, these teachers really want to give the very best from themselves – to the pupils at Landsjöskolanin, for these pupils to be successful in their studies. The following skills have then been identified: - Methodology – how to improve teaching of English in the classroom - Language development out of individiual need and wish - Oral and written competence and skills - English as an international language - The English language, its structure and change - English in media and in daily communication - Digital communication technique - Cultural and intercultural similarites and differences We now look for a course organization in UK that will be able to carry out what we need out of our development and improvement demands. We want the organization to give lessons by teachers who are native-speaking and well qualified. We also want the UK teachers to support and encourage our participants to establish new contacts with other teachers from Europe. This will help us to carry out an extension of our European contacts. After the language extension course in Britain the plans are to arrange different dissemination activities, where we will present acquired experiences and what these will lead to in its context and in the future. In the long run we are convinced that the pupils, the real target group for our project, will be a lot more successful!
