Shake-in the City. The art of inclusion.
Date du début: 1 mai 2010,

The project aims to stimulate the inhabitants of the lower potential areas in the suburbs of big cities and the region to actively participate in culture. The idea is to prevent social exclusion through culture, providing inspiration, entertainment and motivation to experience art. The project is to animate the development of community groups cooperating on voluntary basis in the scope of culture. This is to be done through international cooperation of 5 highly experienced cultural operators from 4 EU countries: Germany, Great Britain, Hungary and Poland. The project combines a variety of artistic activities with educational background focused not only at students but also at teachers, who will be educated to animate the young people and provide them with competence in understanding different cultural languages that operate in today's world. The teachers will also assist in a specially designed volunteer training programme and artistic actions in the regions. The project will last from 01.05.2010 to 31.05.2011. It will combine art and theatre activities as well as educational and advertising means to immerse the cities with cultural actions and give the inhabitants a sense of involvement and participation. There will be site specific activities including art workshop programme, multimedia productions and an international community play coproduction. Moreover a number of mainstream theatre events (e.g. performances by Oskaras Korsunovas, Andrzej Seweryn and others recommended by coorganisers) will be presented in the cooperating countries, accompanied by theatre and art workshops. The documentation of activities will be used for international presentations (exhibitions of photos, multimedia film presentations, etc). The project applies to all specific objectives of the Culture Programme and directly relates to the themes of European Years 2010 and 2011. To reach the largest group of recipients the project will be promoted on local, national and international level.
