SHadOW

SHadOW is a joint project of Spanish NGO Casa Eslava in Barcelona and Center E8 from Serbia. Job shadowing was for 21 day and participants done it in Barcelona. Both organisations were partners for few years and want to continue their cooperation with this project. The participant send from Center E8 is part of the staff in Center E8 and worked in the civil sector for 10 years. She took a part in this project to expand her skills and knowledge about youth work and the organisation and structure of another NGO. During the 21 days lasting project she took a part in the organisation and will learn about their work and organisation. The main goals of this project were to gain skills and knowledge about the work in a Spanish NGO and to develop ideas for own projects in the future. Participant was motivated to start a dialogue between the countries to exchange culture, language and knowledge in order to develop future projects. During the projects there have been used non formal methods and the watching as a method itself. To show her already acquired skills and knowledge she did a presentation of the Erasmus + programe among youth in the organization and had opportunity to work with current EVS volunteers. To share her experiences after the job shadowing she delivered 2 session in Serbia for the young people, presenting them possibilites under Erasmus + programe. She received Youthpass as a validation of her development in professional and personal segment of life. The expected main results that organization set up are full filled such as exchange and cooperation between NGOs of an EU and a non EU country and an individual expansion of skills and knowledge that can be used for the work in the local NGO of the participant. Moreover two organization plan to continue cooperation with the focus on gender equality and prevention of gender based violence among youth.
