The project "SF - Science Fiction or Sustainable Future? EU public opinion is aware of issues related to sustainable development, but action is required to increase the ability of European citizens to actively contribute in the process that will make the European Union the global leader on sustainability. Through this project we aim to promote among 24 young people from Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia and Denmark the idea of sustainable development as part of a common European identity. We also aim to develop knowledge and skills among the participants through discussion , debate and exchange of ideas and stimulate them to become active citizens and promoters of sustainable development. The topics within the " SF - Science Fiction or Future Sustainable ? " cover the subject of EU policies on sustainable development, the concept of education for sustainable development and the role of entrepreneurship for sustainability. The methodology is based on the experiential learning model with four phases: experience , processing, generalization and application. We go through these phases using methods such activities and workshops, exchange of best practices, study visits , discussion with an expert, film, role play , case study , discussion , group reflection, research, simulation . The concept focused on experiential learning will be integrated into the broader concept of learning group that will include activities for team building, intercultural exchange and evaluation of the youth exchange . The expected impact of the project in the long term is for participants to become "agents of change". Also, the organizations involved will have the opportunity to initiate new partnerships and collaborations.
