(Preservation and fostering of Lithuania Minor and East Prussia local ethnic traditions)
The general objective of the project is to encourage cultural heritage and cultural identity preservation processes in Pagegiai and Ilawa border regions - parts of former Lithuania Minor and East Prussia ethnic regions. In order to achieve this objective, folk groups form these towns will prepare and perform compositions based on ethnic motives (stage equipment should also be purchased for the performances from the project budget). Also, two studies about Lithuania Minor´s and East Prussia´s ethnic folklore should be prepared and a book published.Four ethnographic festivals should be organised: two in Ilawa and two in Pagegiai, and several conferences.
