Can't you see I'm a teenager? The goal is to put together an event, promoting photo's, pieces of art and a short film that all have the main theme: Can't you see I'm a teenager? To many people see disabled persons as people that don't grow up. People that don't mature so they stay children for all their live. The aim of their project is to show people how wrong those views are. That they are in fact teenagers, with the same emotions, going through the same biological changes and that they have the same interests and so on, as teenager all over the world. But also to show that they are individuals, just as diverse as other teenagers. For the 5 months they are going to spend one afternoon each week at the youth center for their school and plan the event and create pieces for the show. The aim is to get all the teenagers in their school to contribute to the show. To create something reflecting their hobbies, character, likes og dislikes. And since they want the show to reflect the diversity of the people behind it, the For the last ten years there has been an annual art festival in Iceland called Art without borders. They want to be part of that festival, and have thus chosen the first day of summer 2014 or 24.04.2014 for their event.
