Akzente Salzburg will prepare the volunteer who will then join the team of the Europe House in Mayenne during 10 months. This association informs citizens of various ages about the European Union and its Member States. The volunteer will participate in informative actions on the European mobility programs targeting young people, educative workshops on the European Union and the Member States' cultures organized at school and in youth organizations, the organization of European exchanges or events such as Europe Day or Christmas in Europe. The volunteer will contribute to the development of the "Youth Commission" of the association which gathers young volunteers and young Europeans living in Mayenne. This Commission will propose, prepare and lead activities and projects on Europe targeting young people. He will also actively participate in the project of meeting between people from Mayenne and people living in twinned cities in Europe. In this frame, he will carry out workshops within schools aiming at reminding the European Union history and he will also make young people sensitive to the German language and openess towards others. The volunteer will live in the Home for young workers “Pont the de Mayenne” in Laval city centre in order to facilitate his integration. Once or twice a week, the volunteer will also lead several missions with our activity leader or/and the sociocultural activity leader of this organization to lead similar actions on the European Union and European citizenship among young workers. The volunteer will participate in the residents' committee, which meets every month to know their expectations and needs and then participate in leading of cultural or sport activities. The volunteer will have the opportunity to propose activities and discussions with the young workers. The volunteer will benefit from French lessons (2 hours a week) to have a good level in French, he will benefit from a training on the European Union and the European programmes, especially Erasmus +, education to European citizenship and our team will explain him how to lead activies with children and young people. The volunteer will learn how to create educational and communication tools, teaching aids, informative material, etc. He will participate in the organization of European cultural events. He will develop his creativity and his initiative spirit. The volunteer will be the link between our 2 organizations since all the actions he will participate in will contribute to make young people aware of European citizenship, to improve their knowledge on the European Union, the Member States' cultures and European mobility.
