SeniorLearning: Adapting e-learning techniques for integrating senior citizens in the new digital world

Conscious of the fact that Europe has an ageing population, the SeniorLearning project aimed at the development of a web-based learning system targeted specifically at older learners. With the goal of empowering older persons to actively participate in a modern - and increasingly digital - society, partners worked together to design and test a user-centred e-learning system able to meet the needs of the target group. In terms of content, existing e-learning courses were reviewed and adapted to meet the needs of older persons in each of the participating countries.
