Semi –autonomous living for Disabled Adults Learners – First step for independence in their every day life

The main target of the project is : improvement of the everyday life of disabled adults through their semi – autonomous living, which is a substantial step for their social inclusion. In order to realize this aim , a Practical Guide of Educating Disabled Adults in Semi – autonomous Living will be created. This Guide will be a composition of good practices of education for disabled people in semi – autonomous living units of all involved in the programme European countries. The creation of the Practical Educational Guide for Disabled Adults in Semi – autonomous Living will be based on the experience and knowledge of :a) the organizations providing education and social care to disabled peopleb) the disabled people’s special educational needsc) their familiesd) their educators / trainers / carerse) the social care departments of municipalities of the participants.The target group of the project is the disabled adults, who live either with their families or in all-day-care units for disabled people .They will be able, with the appropriate education, to pass from protective to semi – autonomous living. The remote targets of this project are:a) the gradual inclusion of disabled adults in societyb) the sensitization of local society organizations and people relatively to the need of semi – autonomous living of disabled people (in local, national and European level) as it is an essential condition for their substantial social inclusion. This fact will lead to the numeral increase of semi - autonomous living structures.c) The European convergence concerning the improvement of everyday life of people with special needs through the “institution” of Semi – autonomous Living.
