Date du début: 15 août 2016, Date de fin: 14 févr. 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The project "Be active! What to do in case of discrimination?", a trilaterale youth meeting, takes place in Macedonia for 60 participants betwenn 14 an d 30 years with the aim, to work together against discrimination and to empower political education and sensitisation for more social participation. With the project we want to draw the attention towards activities of Roma in Europe and the actual living conditions of Romacommunities in Macedonia, Serbia and Germany. Young people should be moved to be involved actively against discrimination and especially antiromanism. Young people and women, affected by discrimination, should be encouraged to engage themselves for their rights and to become active. Youth meetings show suitable means to wake up empathy for the people affected by discrimination and to overcome at the same time cultural borders. Background for this project is on the one hand the aimed interlinking and cooperation of the respective regional actions of the participant partners. On the other hand, the social-political situation of minority members in the former states of Yugoslavia and in Germany arrises many questions for the discussion about discrimination. With intercultural learning-activities, young people with different cultural, social, linguistic backgrounds can experience a common time and know themselves better, and learn to understand each other. the meeting focusses on the European history of Roma as well as the situations and possibilities of the participation of Roma in Europe today - in particular for young people. In this youth meeting the possibility should be offered to the participants to make an experience which strengthens them to handle with the everyday experiences of poverty and marginalisation (empowerment). Products of this meeting (film, theatre etc.) are introduced in the involved countries, serving as examples for further networking activities.
