“Second chance” is a youth exchange that will give a second chance to old used things in participants’ life. Project will unite the creativity of 42participants from 6countries, Macedonia,Serbia,Bosnia,Bulgaria,Romania and Italy during 9days in Ohrid, Macedonia. Through taking part in interesting,creative and non-formal workshops based on the concept of learning by doing on the theme meaning of 3R in our daily life and importance of reusing old things as a possible solution to preserve nature resources,youngsters knowledge and personal development will be enrich, they will practice their presentational, organizational,social and creative skills. Participants will broaden their knowledge on the main theme of the exchange – environment,importance of 3R – reduce,reuse,recycle and at the same time will have a chance to work together with their peers from different cultures and countries for a same goal – ensuring brighter future for the planet. Participants will bring their old stuff non-usable things and will think of giving a second chance and a new life to items,they will create bags,toys,new design of t-shirts, accessories,jewelry etc from old ones and will learn together that reusing things is not a crime in today society of consumption,but a noble thing through which you reduce the footprint you leave on the planet, help lower gas emission, help save natural resources and energy and simply preserve nature. The project will include 30local kids from local community in creative workshops and 15kids without parents living in shelter.Participants will transmit their knowledge gain on environment,recycling,reducing,reusing to kids and will spent creative working day with them.All created things from the exchange will be donated to the shelter. Booklet with tips about how to give a new life to old stuff and a DVD film that speaks about this experience will be produced. Follow up campaigns for reusing old things will be implemented in countries involved in the project.
