Date du début: 1 août 2016, Date de fin: 30 nov. 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

This project consists of a cycle of two intercultural youth exchange targeting youth between 18 and 22 years old, coming from Algeria, Turkey, France and Germany who face socio-professional integration difficulties. The main project objectives are to promote international mobility of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds and with fewer opportunities than their peers, raise awareness of intercultural learning and active pedagogy and finally to promote their social and professional inclusion, particularly in the maritime and nautical field. The dates and locations of the two youth exchanges are:- From 12th to 19th of November 2016 in Bejaïa- From 5th to 12th of May 2017 in MarseilleDepending on the success of the project, a new application will be made in 2017 to continue the exchange and set up a exchange in Turkey and in Germany. The four partner cities have in common to be port cities. They therefore offer a number of activities related to the maritime sector (trade, transport, tourism, sport, recreation, etc.) which will allow the young people to discover Bejaïa and Marseille, the north and the south of the Mediterranean Sea. For the participants of Bejaïa and Marseille, the content will permit to reconnect to their environment by introducing them to sectors that are part of their daily environment and they may be unaware of – for the participants coming from Hamburg and Kas it's about discovering the sectors that might also exist in their own harbor-town environment.Through this discovery, we want to support them in developing their own professional projects. The advantage of choosing the maritime domain is the possibility to connect the professional fields to environmental issues, which will allow us to sensibilise the participants on central themes of our societies concerning ecology, environmental protection and sustainable development. The maritime area also offers many opportunities for water activities, which by their playful and sporty character, will allow young people from different cultures and languages to approach more easily and will be beneficial to the group cohesion. These activities will be added to all activities related to intercultural learning (language animations, intercultural methods, etc.) which are a central part of our youth exchanges.A blog will be set up by the participants to relate the various activities and visits they will have the opportunity to do during the two exchanges. This will allow participants to focus on a particular activity / tour of their choice in order to make a summary (photos, video, audio) that will be publish on the blog. This tool, which will serve as a diary and will leave a trace of the project will also enable the participants to share their experiences with their surroundings and encourage other youth to participate to a future exchange. This blog will be a common result which will keep a thread during both stays but also respond to the interests of visibility and multiplication effects.Overall project objectives:OBJECTIVE 1 / Educating youth on the various maritime professions and encourage their social inclusion and socio-professional.OBJECTIVE 2 / Fostering awareness of ecological issues of the maritime domain and develop their awareness on active and participatory citizenship.OBJECTIVE 3 / Promoting intercultural dialogue and youth exchanges on both shores of the Mediterranean Sea, for their social and personal development. OBJECTIVE 4 / Achieving a common product that unites the group and values the experiences made together.Planned activities:- participatory visits of different structures- language animations, intercultural methods, cooperative games- Production Workshop (BLOG)- Discovery of local realitiesThis project replies to the needs of youth with less opportunities to be mobile, to create their networks and to discover a professional field which is geographically linked. Such an exchange also contributes to their personal development in terms of self-confidence, social and citizenship skills, which are an important need among our target group.
