Scouting SuperPacks
Date du début: 4 mai 2015, Date de fin: 3 oct. 2015 PROJET  TERMINÉ

'Scouting Superpacks', will bring together 4 volunteers from different ends of the European Region (Bulgaria, Romania, Sweden and Portugal) to come to Malta for a short term EVS experience. The mobility will happen for two months in Summer 2015, where the volunteers will have the opportunity to immerse within a local voluntary organisation. The Scout Association of Malta (TSAM) will be hosting these volunteers and will be providing them a challenging programme. It will aim to help them to develop new skills; foster self-confidence; meet new people, enhance team work competencies as well as encourage social and community responsibility. The volunteers will be mainly focused at creating Superpacks, a jump-start for camp progamme activities, from start to finish. Hence they will be involved in brainstorming, planning, camp activities implementation as well as helping out within the nature conservation and management of the Ghajn Tuffieha International Scout Campsite. Training and formation of volunteers before the commencement of the activity, as well as training, evaluation and support throughout the activity will be a main priority for both the host and sending organisations. Volunteers will be expected to follow-up their activity by spreading awareness of their experience in various ways, and to explore how best to put their experience to good use. This two-month activity will lead the volunteer to meet a lot of leaders, youths and children that will be working with and provide a new sense of social, voluntary and intercultural appreciation. Finally the main idea is to give a small taster of short-term EVS to those who are afraid to take the plunge. Through this short experience, TSAM will aim to promote the use of long-term EVS. TSAM will be providing these youths with the necessary mentorship and any other assistance that would be required so as to enable a unique and valuable experience for each and every volunteer, that will indeed be worth sharing as well as will serve to enhance their portfolio for future career opportunities.
